I love precious stones and have a childhood fascination with crystals and the natural world. Crystals remind me of trips to Lulworth Cove in the 90’s, cracking rocks open and finding crystals or if I was lucky a fossil! They also remind me of school trips and souvenir shops which are somehow now a thing of the past!

So bringing all these memories together as well as referencing the semi precious geode project and the Love Embroidery Kit – On the first layer we have the main embroidery piece which is another semi precious geode. The colours are inspired by my recent trip back to Egypt. Soft Ocean blues feel fresh and summery and the glisten of the Quartz enhance the colours and bring the piece together!
I’ll be teaching you how to create your own Crystal Cluster! There is definitely a knack to it. Learn this and so much more in this kit!

Semi circled with Czech Glass beads and French Knots to level out the Crystals and then we are into the lull of the satin stitch. I didn’t want to include too much embroidery as I wanted this project to be relatively quick.
The additional top layer helps to draw the eye to the centre crystals but it’s also adds a new dimension and interest. You can see the profile of the Embroidery hoop – the crystals protrude which makes it look like a freshly cracked open crystal!
